Nana Arhin Assan is a Senior Legal Associate at B&P Associates with extensive experience in both private legal practice and in-house counsel roles. Before joining the Firm, Nana Arhin honed his expertise as a private legal practitioner and served as a Legal Officer at The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority. His practice primarily focuses on litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and aviation law.
With substantial experience in private legal practice, he has managed a range of legal matters, specializing in contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and strategic legal advisory. He is skilled in handling complex legal issues, developing effective solutions, and delivering clear, concise guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
In the aviation sector, Nana’s contributions are particularly notable. He played a key role in the development of the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau Act, 2020 (Act 1028), researching international best practices and collaborating with industry stakeholders. This legislative framework is designed to promote aviation safety and improve the investigation of accidents and incidents, in line with the highest international standards.
Nana Arhin also supported the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority during the International Civil Aviation Organization Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) in 2019. He contributed significantly to the review and evidence gathering of Ghana’s aviation laws, helping the country achieve the highest ranking in Africa for aviation safety oversight at that time.
