Michelle is an experienced business lawyer with expertise in corporate structuring, share purchases & transfers, business insolvency, joint venture structuring, business property acquisition and real estate, regulatory compliance and corporate governance. 

 

Michelle provides legal advice and regulatory compliance services to multinational clients of the Firm, most of which operate in highly regulated sectors including the telecommunications, civil aviation, Insurance and the renewable energy sector. She ensures their continued compliance with all applicable laws for their successful operation.

 

As a key member of the Business Support Services Team of the Firm, Michelle tailors her services to the business life cycle and operations of her clients, ensuring real-time solutions are provided to their evolving business needs.   Michelle has also facilitated multiple rounds and forms of equity financing on behalf of clients in highly regulated sectors. This includes private equity financing, rights issues, and the like.

 

Michelle brings her expertise to bear to her clients’ benefit by facilitating property acquisitions on her clients’ behalf. She also exhibits her in-depth experience by providing advice on labour-related matters, negotiating redundancies, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, facilitating intellectual property registrations and conducting due diligence on behalf of clients.

 

Relying on her practical experience in business evolution cycles, Michelle was also a key member of the Firm’s Team that worked with the designated World Bank Consultant in reviewing the new Ghanaian Legislation on Corporate Insolvency and Restructuring. This places her in pole position to provide practical insight to the legal regime for businesses navigating restructuring, administration and liquidation.
